I opened Ceramic Cafe in 1997 when the “paint your own pottery” concept was in its infancy. I had visited a pottery studio in California while vacationing with my family. At the time I was working as an occupational therapist and had no formal business training, but I knew I had to open a studio!
Now I offer “creative therapy for the soul” at Ceramic Cafe. Coming to work every day is so much fun. I love the delight in children’s eyes when they see their shiny and colorful masterpieces, the sentiment a mother feels when she sees her baby’s tiny footprint on a tile and the amazement a customer gets when they realize “I can do this!” Ceramic Cafe is a place for people to celebrate and explore their creative side and I feel lucky to be a part of their experience here at the studio.
